My conviction that god does not exist gets stronger each day of my life…I am grateful for people like Mr. Dawkins who can so eloquently say what I cannot, mostly due to my inability to remain calm and civil in light of attack by the ignorant…nothing is more frustrating! Every time a “christian” responds to our questioning of their faith with bile and hate and death threats, christianity looses a little bit more of my “respect,” such as it remains after decades of seeing christians behave like barbarians…
LOSES…not looses. LOL.
The funniest part of that whole video (at least I think so) was the fact that he read all of that ignorant garbage so properly.

I wanted to apologize to you- in fact, I feel compelled to it! — for all the hateful words you included/read as letters/email written to you. I will defend your right to disbelieve- as ardently as I defend my own belief in God and his son, Jesus. Though obviously, I think you are misguided, or misled, or just plain wrong in your conclusions, However, I think it is tragic that so many self-identified “Christians” respond with such vitriol. That behavior is not Christ’s teaching, just human error once again- see hundreds of examples in history. You have inspired my husband (atheist) with ammunition more than once during many conversations–, so this is not written as a fan particularly, just saying–and I could wish that all intelligent people understood that God is our reality-whether or not we “see” the force for good, it is really there as a constant choice/choosing during our entire existence. But clearly, you are an honorable man who doesn’t deserve to have this level of pitiful ignorance directed at you. Just want you to know- I do understand, at least a little- and though I believe differently, I certainly do not hate you. I love you as a brother. That was truly an inspirational reading! If anyone ever feels that his/her conviction about the non-existence of God is faltering, he/she should listen to Mr. Dawkins’ reading for reassurance.
