Well it would seem that Catholic Clergy are just as susceptible to financial temptations as they are to the allure of naive young boys. According to a Reuters article internal letters at the vatican describe:
a web of corruption, nepotism and cronyism linked to the awarding of contracts to outside companies at inflated prices.
The whistle-blower, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, sent letters directly to the Pope describing not only the long standing policies of corruption within the Vatican but also the varied attempts to discredit him via smear campaigns after (according to him) he had worked hard to
“eliminate corruption, private interests and dysfunction that are widespread in various departments.”
In the end, with all of the child molestation, closeted gays gone wild and wide spread corruption, I believe Sara Silverman still has the best idea yet for making good use of the catholic church.
